RANSOMVILLE — Certified Master Beekeeper Geri Hens will offer advice on how to attract wildlife with native plantings, in a presentation at the Bond Lake Park Nature Center, 2571 Lower Mountain Road, from 1 to 3 p.m. May 5.

Hens, a honey bee expert and owner of Hens Honey Bee Farm in Pendleton, will give her perspective on the best native plants, trees and shrubs for local ecosystems in western New York. Native plantings help pollinators, birds and wildlife receive proper nutrition and have proper nesting sites to raise their young.

Hens' talk is sponsored by the Bond Lake Park Environmental and Beautification Committee. Admission is free. For more information, call Hens at 439-0870.
