The 44th annual Lockport Outdoor Arts and Crafts Festival is set to unfold on Main Street on June 29 and June 30.

Show hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. About 175 vendors from various parts of the country are signed up, according to festival chairman Ed Sandusky. Among returning vendors is local crafter Tammy Stumpf, who designs and makes garden gnomes.

Concessions include hot dogs, hamburgers, sandwiches, snow cones, ice cream and popcorn. Local caterer Donna Eick is making fresh doughnuts on site this year.

Awards to participating artists and crafters include Best of Show. Any artist or crafter who's interested in participating in the festival should email optimistclub01100@aol.com for more information.

The festival is sponsored by the Optimist Club of Lockport, which has been serving youths in the community for more than 70 years.
