A number of students from the Orleans and Niagara Career and Technical Education centers brought home medals from the New York State SkillsUSA competition in Syracuse in late April. These are the medalists.

 

FIRST PLACE

 

 

Michael Huntington, carpentry competition. Huntington, a student at Royalton Hartland High School, is enrolled in the building trades program at Orleans center.

Lexus Waite, cosmetology / senior competition. Waite, a student at Royalton Hartland High School, is enrolled in the cosmetology program at Orleans center.

Robert Bascom, electronics technology competition. Bascom, a student at Royalton Hartland High School, is enrolled in the electricity and electronics program at Orleans center.

Alissa Blount, health occupation pro portfolio competition. Blount, a student at Medina High School, is enrolled in the Allied Health program at Orleans center.

Arrissa Kubas, medical math competition. Kubas, a student at Lockport High School, is enrolled in the Health Occupations Tech program at Orleans center.

Zoe Feltz, advertising design competition. Feltz, a student at Christian Academy in Cheektowaga, is enrolled in the graphic communications program at Niagara center.

Noah Bennett, Dyllan Gantt and Jacob Leising, automated manufacturing tech team competition. Bennett and Leising, students at Niagara Wheatfield High School, and Gantt, a student at Niagara Falls High School, are all enrolled in the project based engineering program at Niagara center.

Nicholas Woodward, criminal justice competition. Woodward, a student at Christian Academy in Niagara Falls, is enrolled in the Security & Law Enforcement program at Niagara center.

Alexander Sztorc, Trevor Sztorc and Richard Wilcox, engine tech design team competition. The Sztorcs, students at Niagara Wheatfield High School, and Wilcox, a student at Wilson High School, all are enrolled in the project based engineering program at Niagara center.

Cameron Wollaber, job demo A competition. Wollaber, a student at Wilson High School, is enrolled in the diesel technology program at Niagara center.

Leonard Jacobs, Zacheriah Ehrenreich and Craig Smith, welding fabrication team competition. Students at Niagara Falls, Starpoint and Wilson high schools respectively, they're all enrolled in the welding program at Niagara center.

 

SECOND PLACE

Emilee Kassay, extemporaneous speaking competition. Kassay, a student at Lyndonville High School, is enrolled in the graphic communications program at Orleans center.

Jeffrey Chapman, CNC milling competition. Chapman, a student at Royalton Hartland High School, is enrolled in the Advanced Manufacturing & Engineering program at Orleans center.

Sean Glenn, technical computer applications competition. Glenn, a student at Lockport High School, is enrolled in the computer technology program at Orleans center.

Justin Corser and Joseph Meaney, web design competition. Corser, a student at Lyndonville High School, and Meaney, a student at Royalton Hartland High School, are enrolled in the computer technology program at Orleans center.

Dylan Pennell, collision repair competition. Pennell, a student at North Tonawanda High School, is enrolled in the auto body program at Niagara center.

Austin Briley, Kasey Taylor and Hallee Mack, crime scene investigation competition. Students at Lew-Port, Wilson and Niagara Wheatfield high schools respectively, they're all enrolled in the Security & Law Enforcement program at Niagara center.

Thomas Barber and Owen Jauch, interactive app video competition. Barber, a student at Niagara Falls High School, and Jauch, a student at Starpoint High, are enrolled in the game design and web development program at Niagara center.

Eric Wieland, precision heavy equipment competition. Wieland, a student at Lew-Port High, is enrolled in the diesel tech program at Niagara center.

Kyle Mattoon, welding sculpture competition. Mattoon, a student at Wilson High, is enrolled in the welding program at Niagara center.

 

THIRD PLACE
