The Niagara County Sheriff's Office has launched two criminal investigations involving employees at Orleans/Niagara BOCES.
BOCES District Superintendent Clark Godshall confirmed an "ongoing investigation with multiple parties" and said "as more information becomes (available) we will make it available."
Incident reports from the sheriff's office say one employee is being investigated for allegedly embezzling funds and another for allegedly falsifying time sheets for personal gain.
On Monday, sheriff's investigators responded to a complaint by Orleans/Niagara BOCES Attorney Wayne Van Fleet and were given documents and evidence relating to both complaints.
Criminal Investigation Bureau Captain Bruce Elliott said the amounts being investigated "are both small" and "not large dollar amounts."
Elliott declined to share further details of the complaints. The cases have been assigned to Investigator Brian Bloom, he said.
