Bomb threat prompts shelter in place order at 3 Lockport schools

Students and faculty at three Lockport City School District buildings are under currently under a "shelter in place" order while local police investigate a report of a bomb threat.

Parents were alerted to the situation via an early Monday robocall message that indicated that the order impacts Lockport High School, Lockport High School West and North Park Junior High School.

Police are currently on the scene.

Lockport interim Police Chief Steve Preisch confirmed the details of the message, saying the district received a bomb threat and a shelter in place order was issued while police conduct a search of the schools.
