Middle and high school-aged girls from the Lockport and Niagara Falls areas are invited to sign up for the region's first all-girls computer coding program this summer.

It's Your World! Develop It! Powered by AT&T will be held weekdays July 18 through 29 at Buffalo State College’s' new Technology building.

Girls in the program will also meet for six weekends during the school year, with their projects culminating in a “Girls Success Code” recognition event to be held during December 2016 — National Computer Science Recognition month.

The program is a collaboration between WNY STEM Hub, Buffalo State College, the Girl Scouts of America and AT&T.

Girls in the program will participate in team-based coding projects which will give them hands-on experience in developing their own technology.

The registration fee for the program is $25 and includes a one-year registration to be a Girl Scout.
