Hartland Volunteer Fire Company holds installation dinner

The 45th annual Installation Dinner of the Hartland Volunteer Fire Company, Ladies Auxiliary and Exempts was held recently to induct the 2016 officers and present awards.

Niagara County Sheriff James Voutour acted as master of ceremonies for the event and the evening’s guest speaker was Niagara County Fire Coordinator Jonathan Schultz. Justice Brian Gross swore in the fire police while county Legislator Mike Hill, R-Middleport, welcomed the new officers. 

Serving this year are President John Roessler Sr., Vice President and Fire Captain Mike Carnes, Secretary Bryan Ames, Chief Archie Ames III, 1st Assistant Bryan Ames, 2nd Assistant Jay Josey, 3rd Assistant and Treasurer Kimberly Wilson, one-year trustee and Sergeant-At-Arms Bob Heschke, two-year trustee James Minner, three-year trustee Austin Powley, Bingo captain Cliff Johnston, Steward Amanda Minner and Chaplain Dan Hill.

The Hartland Auxiliary welcomed President Cheryl Walsh, Vice President Mary Sadlocka, Recording Secretary Joyce Moore, Corresponding Secretary Karen Fuller, Treasurer Evie Johnson and Trustee Winnie Heschke.

Officers for the Hartland Fire Company Exempts are President Carolyn Meyers, Vice President and Chaplain Dan Hill, Secretary Bob Heschke, Treasurer Cliff Johnston and trustees Bernie Berger, Merle Snell and Jay Josey.

New firefighters joining the ranks are Paul Baughman, James Roessler and John Cirillo. Tyler Cirillo was welcomed as a junior fireman.

The dinner was held at the Hartland Fire Hall, with catering by Darryl’s and music by Beamin Sounds. Neighboring fire companies were in attendance and the Barker Fire Co. was on standby for Hartland while they hosted their event.
