Andrew E. Pilecki of Pendleton has been appointed a director of the Firemen's Association of the State of New York.

Pilecki assumed his new duties at FASNY's annual convention, filling the role previously held by Lockport resident Ed Tase, who was elected second vice president of FASNY.

Pilecki is a 37-year member of Columbia Hook & Ladder Company, for which he has been a lieutenant, trustee, recording secretary and president.

Pilecki has been an active responder with Wendelville Volunteer Fire Company since 2003 and is a past assistant chief there.

A former assistant director of emergency management for the City of North Tonawanda, Pilecki is a member of the Niagara County and New York State fire chiefs associations and a past president of the Western New York Volunteer Firemen's Association.

For FASNY, Pilecki has served its Firefighter of the Year, Sectional Communications and Awards committees and has held leadership roles in its credit union.

Professionally, Pilecki is the office manager for his wife Dr. Marian C. Pilecki's dental practice.
