NORTH TONAWANDA ― Local elected representatives will join the Second Amendment Forever Niagara County chapter in hosting a Second Amendment forum Thursday, beginning at 6:30 p.m., at American Legion Stephen Sikora Post hall, 950 Payne Ave.
Forum topics include an array of gun-related issues including new laws, legislation, the NY-SAFE Act and renewing and re-registering gun licenses.
Forum hosts include state Sen. Robert Ortt, Niagara County Legislator Randy Bradt, Niagara County Clerk Joe Jastrzemski and Ed Pettitt, president of the local chapter of Second Amendment Forever.
“It is of the utmost importance that we hold this forum to allow the public to be informed on such a crucial matter,” said Bradt, who is sponsoring the forum. “A well-informed citizenry will ensure the protection and preservation of our constitutional rights.”
“Pistol permit holders in Niagara County need to continually be informed of the requirements under the SAFE Act,” Jastrzemski added.
