A new kayak launch, larger pavilions and updated bathrooms will greet visitors at Pendleton West Canal Park and Marina this summer.

County and town officials recently announced the completion of several restoration projects at the park on Tonawanda Creek Road. Other recent efforts include the reconstruction of the shoreline break wall and shoreline walkway, and the installation of water and electricity hook-ups, which will allow boaters to dock overnight.

Pendleton councilman David Leible said the town will consider further restoration efforts, in accordance with its master parkland and trails plan.

“These improvements add to the appeal of living in Pendleton,” Leible said.
